WHAT IS EAR WAX REMOVAL BY MICROSUCTION?
Professional Ear Wax Removal in Bristol: Safe & Effective Solutions
Microsuction uses gentle suction to draw any excess wax from your ears. It’s one of the most effective and safest procedures for cleaning your ears.
We use specialised loupes to magnify the ear canal allowing direct vision to remove ear wax. The procedure typically takes up to 20 minutes.

Our Audiologist Trang has over 11 years of valuable experience by working in both the NHS and private Audiology practices as a Manager and Clinical Educator.
The clinical experience and expertise that has been gained over the years have allowed Trang to be able to professionally advise and safely perform ear wax removal. The use of specialised magnification ensures adequate depth-perception allowing direct vision into the ear canal.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR EARS BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT
It is recommended to use ear drops at least 48 hours before treatment.
Earol or olive oil is recommended.
Ear drops will soften hard stubborn wax which will make removal more pleasant and simple.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING MY APPOINTMENT
Your ear wax removal appointment will typically take 20 minutes.
Our Audiologist will be wearing appropriate PPE throughout the appointment.
Our Audiologist will ask you questions regarding the health of your ears and will examine your ears and offer advice.
The procedure of ear wax removal and expectations will be explained to you depending on the nature of your ear wax.
Once you have consented to the procedure our Audiologist will use sterile (single use) suction tubes to gently remove any wax that is in your ear.
After the procedure, your ears will be examined again.
In the rare event that ear wax removal has been unsuccessful, advice will be given for the next steps.
