At Eastgate Dental & Cosmetic Centre, we offer Invisalign®️ treatment; a modern and innovative way to effectively straighten your teeth using a series of bespoke clear aligners.
WHAT IS INVISALIGN®️?
Invisalign® an innovative orthodontic treatment that offers a discreet and convenient way to straighten teeth. Unlike traditional braces that use metal brackets and wires, Invisalign utilises a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that are virtually invisible when worn.
Invisalign is suitable for treating various orthodontic issues, including misaligned teeth, spacing in teeth, crowded teeth, gaps, overbites, underbites, and crossbites, and improving the fullness of the lips, gum, and dental health. Invisalign is also suitable for patients of all ages that have all their adult teeth come through.
WHAT IS THE TREATMENT PROCESS FOR INVISALIGN®️?
An initial consultation is offered to discuss your expectations and a thorough assessment of your dental health is required to check your suitability for Invisalign® treatment. A digital scan of your mouth is carried out using the latest dental technology and a smile simulation can be assessed to create a bespoke treatment plan for you, and this can be viewed in the clinic or via video call. Once you are happy with the treatment plan, the aligners will be made.
During your Invisalign® treatment you will need to wear the aligners for 21-23 hours per day and change to a new set of aligners every 2 weeks. The only time the aligners should be removed is when you eat or brush your teeth.
The duration of your treatment is dependent on the complexity of your case but can typically last for 12-18 months.
